Social media management for food bloggers in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Food blogging in Islamabad and Rawalpindi is a job with no salary attached. You pay for your own biryani, film it in bad light, and hope a restaurant pays PKR 20,000 for a collaboration. The ones who earn post four times a week and can show a restaurant what their last video actually delivered.

What makes social media hard for food bloggers?

These are the things we hear most from food bloggers in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01Restaurants offer a free meal instead of money, and a free meal does not pay for your mic or your petrol.
  • 02You have no rate card, so every negotiation starts from zero and usually finishes lower than it should.
  • 03Filming inside a busy restaurant means orange light, loud tables and a manager standing behind you.
  • 04An honest bad review costs you every future invitation from that group of restaurants.
  • 05Views spike on one video and then collapse, while brands only ever look at your last three posts.

What should a food blogger business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

The honest bill

The most useful thing you can give a twin-cities audience: what two people actually paid, including tax and service charge, with the receipt on screen. This is the reason people save and forward your videos.

  • Two people, full meal, receipt held up to camera at the end
  • Under PKR 1,500 for two: three places in Rawalpindi
  • What a family of five really spends at a Blue Area buffet

02

Area guides

Own one patch instead of the whole city. Every nashta spot in Saddar, every café in F-6, everything open after midnight in Bahria. Series like these get saved and sent, which is what actually grows a page.

  • Every halwa puri and paratha spot in Saddar, ranked
  • Open after midnight in Islamabad: five places worth the drive
  • F-6 café crawl — five cafés in one afternoon, honest verdicts

03

First bite, filmed honestly

Your face is the product. Shoot the first bite in one take, say what you genuinely think, and keep the criticism specific — the naan was cold, the karahi was oily — so the praise is believed too.

  • First bite, one take, no retakes
  • Three things I would change about this restaurant
  • I went back a second time to check whether it was just a bad night

04

How the business works

Behind-the-scenes content about being a food blogger performs surprisingly well and quietly attracts brands. What a collaboration pays, how you set your rates, what you turn down and why.

  • What a restaurant collaboration in Islamabad actually pays
  • Why I said no to a free meal last week
  • My entire kit: phone, light, mic — and what each one cost

Instagram#25 reels per week plus stories from every visitRestaurants check your Instagram before they agree a price, so it is your portfolio as much as your audience.
YouTube#31–2 long videos per week plus ShortsLong reviews and area guides keep pulling views for years and turn a page into a channel with real ad revenue behind it.
Facebook#44 posts per weekRawalpindi food groups share video far more readily than anywhere else and reach there is still cheap.

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

Paid restaurant collaborations in the twin cities commonly run from a few thousand rupees to PKR 50,000 or more depending on reach, while ad revenue from Pakistani views stays small. Most bloggers here earn from brand deals, not AdSense, so proving reach beats chasing subscribers.

Where are food bloggers concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • F-6

One of the oldest and richest sectors, lived in by senior civil servants, politicians and old Islamabad families. Two very different markets serve it: Super Market in the Markaz for books, banks, tailors and pharmacies, and Kohsar Market in F-6/3, where the city's expensive cafés and bakeries have clustered for years.

  • F-7

F-7 Markaz — everybody calls it Jinnah Super — is the market every person in Islamabad has shopped in at least once. Saeed Book Bank, bridal boutiques, salons, phone shops and a thick ring of restaurants. Behind it the sector is quiet, leafy and costly, full of embassy staff and business families.

  • Blue Area

Islamabad's central business district: a long strip of office towers along Jinnah Avenue, sitting between the F and G sectors. Banks, telecom head offices, law chambers, travel agents and consultancies are stacked floor on floor, with ground-floor cafés feeding the lunch rush. Almost nobody lives here, and by nine at night it is empty.

Rawalpindi

  • Saddar

Saddar is the Cantt side of Pindi's old shopping heart. Bank Road and Kashmir Road are lined with tailors, shoe shops, opticians and watch repairers who have held the same shutter for forty years. Trade runs on walk-ins from the railway station and the Cantt offices, and almost none of it is online.

  • Commercial Market

Commercial Market is Satellite Town's high street: two long rows of clothing outlets, shoe shops, cosmetics counters and food carts that fill up after Maghrib. It sells to families rather than wholesalers, so prices are fixed and the evening crowd decides everything. Parking is the standing complaint.

  • Bahria Town Phase 7–8

Phases 7 and 8 are the newer, far bigger end of Bahria Town Rawalpindi, built around the Grand Jamia Masjid and the Eiffel Tower replica that every visitor photographs. Plots are still selling and houses are still going up, so the businesses that win are the ones people drive across town to see.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

Which services move the numbers for food bloggers?

Food bloggers questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for food bloggers in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most food bloggers start on Growth at PKR 35,000. A blogger's bottleneck is editing, not ideas. Growth takes four long videos and twelve short ones off your plate every month, plus thumbnails and titles, so you can film three restaurants in a day and still post daily. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should food bloggers focus on first?

TikTok. The twin-cities food audience is on TikTok, and a brand new account can still reach a hundred thousand people from a standing start. We would run it at 5 videos per week and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a food blogger business?

the honest bill, area guides, first bite, filmed honestly — those three alone fill a month. The most useful thing you can give a twin-cities audience: what two people actually paid, including tax and service charge, with the receipt on screen. This is the reason people save and forward your videos.

Do you work with food bloggers in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of food bloggers around F-6, F-7, Blue Area, Saddar. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a food blogger account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
