Social media management for cafés in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

A café in Islamabad sells seats, not just coffee. One student can hold a table for three hours on a PKR 700 latte. Posting is how you fill the other chairs — dessert at 9pm, a winter drink in the first cold week, a corner with plug points. Twin-cities cafés are chosen on Instagram photos.

What makes social media hard for cafés?

These are the things we hear most from cafés in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01One person nurses a PKR 700 coffee for three hours while four people wait outside for a table.
  • 02The dessert counter looks beautiful at 4pm and picked-over by 9pm, and 9pm is when everyone is scrolling.
  • 03A new café opens two doors down in F-11 every few months and takes your Instagram crowd with it.
  • 04Winter is your whole year and June to August is dead, so one content plan cannot cover both.
  • 05Customers photograph your latte on a dark table with flash and post something that makes the café look worse than it is.

What should a café business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

The drink, shot properly

Coffee is a visual product and phone cameras destroy it. Steam, the pour, cocoa dust landing. Filmed near a window in daylight, one drink per clip, with the machine louder than the music.

  • Slow pour of today's flat white, filmed by the window
  • Winter special: hot chocolate finished with the torch
  • Our cold brew next to our iced latte, so people stop asking the difference

02

Who the table is for

Film the café at different hours so people know when to come and for what. The 11am laptop corner, the 5pm study group, the 9pm dessert crowd. It answers can I sit here for two hours without anyone having to ask.

  • A day in the café in 30 seconds: 9am empty, 1pm laptops, 9pm full
  • Where the plug points are — a quiet tour for the laptop crowd
  • Which table to ask for if you are four friends who want to talk loudly

03

Seasonal menu and Ramadan

Twin-cities coffee sales collapse in June and triple in December. Announce the winter menu before the first cold week, and switch to iftar seating and sehri hours the day the moon is confirmed.

  • First cold morning of the year — the winter menu goes up today
  • Ramadan hours: closed till 5, iftar seating from 6:30, sehri till 4am
  • Our three coldest summer drinks, ranked by the staff who make them

04

The barista and the beans

Specialty coffee is still new in Pakistan and people want teaching, not selling. Where the beans are roasted, why your espresso tastes different from the chain, what a flat white actually is.

  • Latte or flat white — the difference in 40 seconds
  • Where our beans are roasted and how often we get them
  • Our barista tastes his own coffee and says honestly what he would change

Facebook#33 posts per weekFacebook still carries the older Rawalpindi and Bahria crowd who share your winter menu straight into family groups.

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

A café ticket in F-7 usually lands between PKR 1,500 and 2,500 once dessert is added, and a student who comes twice a week through winter is worth around PKR 60,000 a season. Markaz rent eats that quickly, so seat turnover matters more than follower count.

chaayé khana

Started as one Kohsar Market tea house and grew into a chain on a single idea — chai as a place to sit, not a drink to grab.

Teaches coffee instead of shouting deals. The room and the roast do the selling while the caption explains what you are drinking.

An Islamabad café holding a real audience without a chain behind it — it posts its own space and menu relentlessly.

Where are cafés concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • F-6

One of the oldest and richest sectors, lived in by senior civil servants, politicians and old Islamabad families. Two very different markets serve it: Super Market in the Markaz for books, banks, tailors and pharmacies, and Kohsar Market in F-6/3, where the city's expensive cafés and bakeries have clustered for years.

  • F-7

F-7 Markaz — everybody calls it Jinnah Super — is the market every person in Islamabad has shopped in at least once. Saeed Book Bank, bridal boutiques, salons, phone shops and a thick ring of restaurants. Behind it the sector is quiet, leafy and costly, full of embassy staff and business families.

  • F-11

F-11 is apartment Islamabad. Blocks of flats in F-11/1 and F-11/3 keep it younger and denser than the sectors either side, and F-11 Markaz has grown into one of the busiest eating and shopping centres on that half of the city. Property offices, gyms and delivery-heavy kitchens do well here.

  • E-11

E-11 grew out of separate cooperative societies, which is why its streets do not line up like the rest of Islamabad. It is the city's flat belt: young couples, students and bachelors renting apartments, with a mini market in every sub-sector and a crowded Markaz of eateries, hostels and property offices.

  • Gulberg Greens

Gulberg Greens is farmhouse Islamabad — big farmhouse plots off the Expressway that turned into a wedding and events belt. Marquees, open-air restaurants, nurseries and shoot locations line the blocks, while the Civic Centre side carries offices and clinics. Bookings peak from October to March and go quiet through Ramadan.

Rawalpindi

  • Bahria Town Phase 7–8

Phases 7 and 8 are the newer, far bigger end of Bahria Town Rawalpindi, built around the Grand Jamia Masjid and the Eiffel Tower replica that every visitor photographs. Plots are still selling and houses are still going up, so the businesses that win are the ones people drive across town to see.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

Which services move the numbers for cafés?

Cafés questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for cafés in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most cafés start on Starter at PKR 15,000. Most cafés only need someone posting consistently and answering DMs. Starter covers eight edited reels a month, the graphics and daily posting on Instagram — which is where café decisions in Islamabad are actually made. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should cafés focus on first?

Instagram. Café choice in Islamabad is made by looking at pictures of the seating and the dessert counter, and that happens on Instagram. We would run it at 5 reels per week plus daily stories and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a café business?

the drink, shot properly, who the table is for, seasonal menu and ramadan — those three alone fill a month. Coffee is a visual product and phone cameras destroy it. Steam, the pour, cocoa dust landing. Filmed near a window in daylight, one drink per clip, with the machine louder than the music.

Do you work with cafés in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of cafés around F-6, F-7, F-11, E-11. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a café account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
