Architecture in Islamabad sells on two things: how the elevation looks and whether your drawings clear CDA or RDA. Fees run from about PKR 50 per square foot for a basic plan set up to a percentage of construction cost on a full job. Your page has to be a portfolio, an approvals guide and a waiting list at once.

Fierce June sun, a real monsoon and cold January nights. Show what you specify for it — orientation, shading, roof treatment, glazing — with reasoning a homeowner can repeat to his contractor.

A basic plan set runs PKR 50–100 per square foot, and a full design on a 1-kanal house often lands in lakhs, with CDA or RDA submission billed separately around PKR 20,000–100,000. One extra house a quarter changes the whole year.

Islamabad
F-7 Markaz — everybody calls it Jinnah Super — is the market every person in Islamabad has shopped in at least once. Saeed Book Bank, bridal boutiques, salons, phone shops and a thick ring of restaurants. Behind it the sector is quiet, leafy and costly, full of embassy staff and business families.
F-8 is where Islamabad goes for its legal work. The district courts sit in F-8 Markaz, so the plazas around them are wall to wall with lawyers' chambers, stamp vendors and typists. Ayub Market handles the daily shopping, and the residents are largely government officers and settled professional families.
Islamabad's central business district: a long strip of office towers along Jinnah Avenue, sitting between the F and G sectors. Banks, telecom head offices, law chambers, travel agents and consultancies are stacked floor on floor, with ground-floor cafés feeding the lunch rush. Almost nobody lives here, and by nine at night it is empty.
DHA Islamabad runs along the GT Road and the Expressway on the city's southern edge, with Phase II carrying most of the built-up life. Giga Mall pulls shoppers from both cities, and the blocks around it hold showrooms, restaurants, gyms and private schools. Residents skew towards serving and retired officers.
Multi Gardens B-17 sits out on the GT Road side towards Sangjani, and it has become a small town of its own — blocks of finished houses, schools, clinics, marriage halls and a busy commercial area. It suits young families priced out of the sectors and people working near the new airport.
Rawalpindi
Satellite Town was Rawalpindi's first planned suburb, laid out in lettered blocks in the 1960s, and it has aged into a doctors' quarter. Consultant clinics, dental surgeries and small labs work out of converted houses around Holy Family Hospital. Patients are local and they choose on reputation, not advertising.
