WhatsApp marketing
We set up WhatsApp as the ordering desk for E-11 grocers, bakeries and small kitchens that deliver to the sector's apartment blocks: a catalogue of everyday items, quick replies for delivery areas and timings, contacts saved by building and flat, and opt-in broadcasts for daily specials or fresh stock.
On the Business bundle package, from PKR 25,000 per month. Ad spend, if you run ads, is separate.
Why it fits
E-11's apartment blocks make it one of the easiest places in Islamabad to deliver to — dense, close together, full of people who would rather not carry groceries up three floors. Most orders already arrive on WhatsApp as voice notes and photos of a list, landing on a personal phone the shopkeeper also uses for family. That holds until volume grows. A business number with a catalogue, labels and saved addresses keeps orders straight, and a building-wise broadcast turns a fresh batch of bread or milk into sales the same evening.

A quick reply
'We deliver across E-11/1 to E-11/4. Please send your building name and flat number. Payment by cash, JazzCash or Easypaisa on delivery.'
Customers send a list, a photo or a voice note; the shop confirms items, total and delivery time, and a rider takes it up to the flat. A WhatsApp Business setup with a catalogue, quick replies and saved building and flat numbers makes that routine faster and stops orders going missing on busy E-11 evenings.
They do different jobs. Apps bring new customers but take commission and own the relationship. WhatsApp keeps regulars direct and costs nothing per order. Most small E-11 grocers and kitchens do well using an app for discovery and moving repeat customers onto their own WhatsApp line.
Pitfalls
The area
E-11 grew out of separate cooperative societies, which is why its streets do not line up like the rest of Islamabad. It is the city's flat belt: young couples, students and bachelors renting apartments, with a mini market in every sub-sector and a crowded Markaz of eateries, hostels and property offices.

These are the questions we get on WhatsApp every week, answered the way we would answer them there.
WhatsApp usThey can send a JazzCash or Easypaisa transfer with a screenshot, which most E-11 shops already accept. We put your account details in a quick reply and add a label to mark orders as paid. Card payment links are possible but rarely needed for groceries.
Not for most E-11 grocers. The free Business app handles one or two people taking orders. The API is worth it only when several staff answer at once or you want automatic order confirmations at volume.
