Answered · How to
Why is my new online store getting visitors but no orders?
A new online store usually gets visitors but no orders because buyers do not trust it yet, the checkout is awkward on a phone, delivery charges appear late, or COD is missing. In Pakistan, real photos, a WhatsApp number, a visible returns policy and clear delivery times fix more lost sales than redesigning the home page.
The longer answer
Begin with trust, because an unknown store asks a buyer to take a risk. Does the site show a phone number and WhatsApp that someone answers, a physical city at least, real photos rather than supplier images, and a returns policy written in plain language? Are there signs of life, such as an Instagram link with recent posts or genuine customer messages shared with permission? A buyer in Rawalpindi who has been let down by an online order before will look for all of these before entering an address.
Then test the checkout yourself on an ordinary Android phone over mobile data. Count the fields. Check whether the delivery charge only appears at the final step, which feels like a trick even when it is not. Make sure cash on delivery is offered, that the city list includes smaller towns, and that a phone number field accepts the formats people actually type. Many stores lose orders to a form that rejects an 0300 number written with a dash, or to a page that takes too long to load on a slow connection.
Finally, look at where visitors come from. Traffic from a broad ad aimed at all of Pakistan may simply be the wrong people, while visitors from your Instagram followers should convert far better. Install analytics properly so you can see where people drop off: product page, cart or checkout. For stores we build under the Business bundle, we set up this tracking and review it with you; when the issue is the ads rather than the store, our ad services and the Pro package cover that, with ad spend separate.
