Should I use an AI logo generator for my business?

AI image tools are quick at producing something logo-shaped. If you are testing whether anyone will order your home-baked cakes in Bahria Town, a generated mark on an Instagram profile is a reasonable stopgap. Nobody needs a full identity before they know the business works, and spending heavily on branding before the first hundred orders is a common way to run out of money.

The trouble starts when the business becomes real. Generators learn from existing images, so their output can look uncomfortably close to other companies' logos, and there is no designer who can tell you where the idea came from. Most produce raster images, so the logo blurs on a signboard and has to be redrawn as a vector anyway. Lettering is often misspelt, and Urdu in particular tends to come out as decorative squiggles rather than readable script. Whether a generated mark can be protected as your trademark is a question for a lawyer, and the answer may not be the one you hope for.

A sensible route is to use a generated or simply typed logo while you test demand, then commission a drawn identity once you are spending on signage, packaging or ads. Bring the AI version to the brief; it is a useful way to show a designer the mood you like. We draw every mark ourselves in vector software and do not hand over generated logos.
