How much does it cost to make a Reel?

There are three honest price levels and most people only know about the middle one. The bottom is you, your phone, daylight from a window and forty minutes: real cost zero, and for a clinic, a tailor or a coach this is often the version that performs best because it looks like a person rather than an advert. The middle is edit-only — you shoot, someone else cuts, captions, grades and hands it back ready to post. The top is production: a location, a camera person, lights, someone on talent, and a Reel that has to look like a brand campaign.

The produced end is where the money hides. A café in F-7 may let you shoot free in the dead hours between 3 and 6, or may want PKR 5,000 to PKR 15,000 for exclusive use. A model or presenter is PKR 5,000 to PKR 25,000 for a half day, a makeup artist adds PKR 4,000 to PKR 12,000, and a gimbal, light and lav mic hired for the day is another PKR 3,000 to PKR 8,000. Shoot four Reels in that one block, not one — the setup cost is the same and your per-Reel number drops by three quarters.

Whatever you spend on filming, the caption work decides whether it travels. A lot of Pakistan watches on mute in an office, a van or a classroom, so burned-in captions are not optional, and Roman Urdu on-screen text usually holds attention better than English for a local audience. Budget for a hook you can read in the first second.
