What is Duet?
A duet is a TikTok feature that plays someone else's video side by side with a new video of you reacting, answering or performing alongside it. Both play at the same time, in a split frame. The original creator gets credited and their sound stays attached, which means a duet can pull viewers from the original video's audience towards yours. Creators can turn duets off for their own posts. The format is built for response: correcting a claim, adding the missing detail, showing what happens if you actually try the thing. A duet that only nods along adds nothing, because the viewer could have watched the original alone.
What does Duet mean for a business in Pakistan?
The duet that works for a Pakistani expert is the correction. A doctor in Islamabad duetting a viral home-remedy video, a mechanic in Saddar duetting a wrong engine tip, a property dealer duetting an unrealistic plot-return claim — each borrows an existing audience and demonstrates competence in one clip. Stay respectful; the aggressive version gets reported rather than shared.
A worked example
A twin-cities dermatologist duets a home-remedy TikTok that had 800,000 views. Her duet reaches 210,000 views, adds 3,100 followers in four days, and fills her Monday clinic list at PKR 3,000 a consultation.
