Social media management for travel vloggers in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Islamabad is the gate to the north, so a travel vlogger here has Murree, Naran and Skardu inside a day's drive. That is the advantage. The problem is cash flow: a five-day Skardu trip costs PKR 60,000 to 90,000 up front and comes back as three videos that may earn PKR 8,000 in AdSense.

What makes social media hard for travel vloggers?

These are the things we hear most from travel vloggers in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01There is no signal for long stretches of the Karakoram Highway, so you shoot for four days and cannot upload or reply to anyone until you reach Gilgit.
  • 02Every trip is paid up front — fuel, hotel, permits, a broken tyre — and the AdSense for that footage arrives two months later, if at all.
  • 03The whole country goes north in the same three weeks around Eid and 14 August, and your footage ends up looking like everyone else's.
  • 04Batteries die in the Deosai cold with nowhere to charge, and one dead drone battery costs you the shot you drove eleven hours for.
  • 05Babusar and Shandur close for winter, so from December to March you have nothing new and the channel goes quiet at exactly the wrong time.

What should a travel vlogger business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

The honest cost sheet

The most searched question about northern travel in Pakistan is what it costs. Break one trip into fuel, hotel, food and entry fees with real receipts, once for a car and once for public transport.

  • Islamabad to Skardu by road: every rupee spent across five days
  • Naran on PKR 15,000 per person, shared van and a shared room
  • What a Hunza hotel really charges in July versus October

02

Road conditions, this week

Nobody starts a northern trip without asking whether the road is open. Short, clearly dated clips of Babusar, Lowari or the KKH are the most genuinely useful thing you will ever post.

  • Babusar Top on the day it opened, filmed from the driver's seat
  • The last twelve kilometres to Fairy Meadows, shown so Corolla owners can decide
  • Murree Expressway on a snow weekend at 11am, no commentary

03

Places nobody vlogs

Murree and Hunza are saturated. Within two hours of Islamabad there are places with almost no videos at all, and those rank for years because you are the only result.

  • Taxila museum and the Buddhist ruins in one afternoon from Rawalpindi
  • Khanpur Dam on a weekday, and what the boat owners actually charge
  • A Kaghan side valley the tour operators drive straight past

04

Travelling on a green passport

Visas, currency and airport questions are their own genre. Foreign trips are expensive to film, but a visa video keeps earning long after the trip itself is forgotten.

  • The Azerbaijan visa on a Pakistani passport, step by step with the fees
  • What Pakistani customs actually asks you at Islamabad airport
  • Umrah on a budget: flight, hotel and transport totalled in PKR

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

A northern trip costs PKR 40,000 to 120,000 to film properly. Hotels in Hunza and Skardu pay in free stays far more often than cash, while a tour operator will pay PKR 30,000 to 100,000 for a promoted trip video. Camera, drone and mics start around PKR 400,000.

Who is already doing this well in Pakistan?

Accounts worth studying before you post anything. We are not affiliated with any of them — they are here because the approach is worth copying.

YouTube · over a million subscribers

Irfan Junejo

He films how a place feels, not the itinerary. He proved a Pakistani channel can be carried by the person on camera rather than the destination.

YouTube · around a million subscribers

Eva zu Beck

She went where nobody else was filming — Balochistan, Chitral, the coast — and now owns those searches completely.

YouTube · around a hundred thousand subscribers

Flying to World (Abdul Wali)

Plain route and cost guides, not cinematic films. It ranks because it answers the exact 'how do I get there' question people type.

Where are travel vloggers concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • F-11

F-11 is apartment Islamabad. Blocks of flats in F-11/1 and F-11/3 keep it younger and denser than the sectors either side, and F-11 Markaz has grown into one of the busiest eating and shopping centres on that half of the city. Property offices, gyms and delivery-heavy kitchens do well here.

  • E-11

E-11 grew out of separate cooperative societies, which is why its streets do not line up like the rest of Islamabad. It is the city's flat belt: young couples, students and bachelors renting apartments, with a mini market in every sub-sector and a crowded Markaz of eateries, hostels and property offices.

  • G-13

G-13 was laid out for federal government employees and is now fully lived in — four sub-sectors of houses, a growing Markaz, and families who bought early and stayed. Clinics, schools, bakeries and property offices dominate. NUST and the motorway are both close, so student rentals are common here.

  • G-11

G-11 Markaz is one of the liveliest markets on the western side — cheap food, bakeries, mobile shops, banks, and enough student and hostel traffic to keep it open late. The sub-sectors mix owner-occupied houses with rented portions, so customers run from retired officers to people in their first job.

  • DHA Islamabad

DHA Islamabad runs along the GT Road and the Expressway on the city's southern edge, with Phase II carrying most of the built-up life. Giga Mall pulls shoppers from both cities, and the blocks around it hold showrooms, restaurants, gyms and private schools. Residents skew towards serving and retired officers.

Rawalpindi

  • Bahria Town Phase 1–6

The first six phases of Bahria Town Rawalpindi are the settled ones — trees grown in, families moved in years ago. Civic Centre in Phase 4 is the commercial anchor, with a cinema, restaurants and clinics. Customers here check your Instagram before they visit, and they will pay for presentation.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

Which services move the numbers for travel vloggers?

Travel vloggers questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for travel vloggers in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most travel vloggers start on Growth at PKR 35,000. Travel is one heavy long-form edit a week plus a stream of clips cut from the same footage. Growth covers four long videos, twelve shorts and every thumbnail, so you can travel instead of sitting in Premiere. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should travel vloggers focus on first?

YouTube. Trip planning happens in YouTube search months ahead, and one Skardu cost video keeps earning every single summer. We would run it at 1 long video a week, 10 to 20 minutes, plus 3 shorts and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a travel vlogger business?

the honest cost sheet, road conditions, this week, places nobody vlogs — those three alone fill a month. The most searched question about northern travel in Pakistan is what it costs. Break one trip into fuel, hotel, food and entry fees with real receipts, once for a car and once for public transport.

Do you work with travel vloggers in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of travel vloggers around F-11, E-11, G-13, G-11. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a travel vlogger account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
