Social media management for art schools in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Art is the one trade where the product photographs itself. A Saturday kids' class in F-10 at PKR 6,000 a month, an NCA portfolio batch, a calligraphy course at the Rawalpindi Arts Council — each of them produces twenty photogenic things a week and posts almost none of them.

What makes social media hard for art schools?

These are the things we hear most from art schools in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01Parents treat art as a hobby rather than a subject, so you spend every enquiry justifying PKR 6,000 a month for something with no exam at the end.
  • 02Enrolment collapses during board exams and Ramadan and then triples for six weeks of summer camp, so your income is three good months and nine thin ones.
  • 03Your best content is student work, but the work belongs to the student and photographing children needs the parent's permission first.
  • 04Materials are a real cost — paper, decent paints, clay, a kiln that eats electricity — and the fee has to absorb all of it.
  • 05You get confused with paint-and-sip party places and with the school art period, which is exactly the price bracket you do not want.

What should a art school business post?

5 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

Blank sheet to finished piece

The timelapse is the format the whole internet already watches. Three hours of charcoal cut to twenty-five seconds, a truck-art panel from the first chalk line, a bowl from lump of clay to glaze.

  • Charcoal portrait, three hours compressed to twenty-five seconds
  • Truck-art panel painted from the first chalk mark
  • Wheel-thrown bowl from lump to finished glaze

02

One technique, properly taught

Value before colour, holding a qalam at the right angle for Nastaliq, mixing skin tones from the five paints you can buy in Saddar. Teach it so a beginner can copy it the same afternoon.

  • Mixing skin tones with five paints from a local shop
  • Why your drawing looks flat — value in three steps
  • The qalam angle nobody tells you about in Nastaliq

03

The same student in January and in June

This is how you justify the fee without arguing about it. Two pieces side by side, six months apart, posted with the parent's permission, and a line about what the student could not do at the start.

  • Her first sketch and her sixth-month sketch, side by side
  • A Grade 7 student's whole summer camp portfolio in one carousel

04

Portfolio and entry test

For the seventeen-year-old aiming at NCA or IVS: what actually goes into a portfolio, how many pieces, what the drawing paper asks for, and the mistakes that get a file rejected.

  • What goes in an NCA portfolio, piece by piece
  • The entry test drawing question, attempted on camera and explained

05

Exhibitions and workshops

Setting up the students' wall at an exhibition, the Eid card workshop, a Basant kite-design session, the last day of summer camp. This is the content that fills the next batch.

  • Hanging our students' first exhibition wall, start to finish
  • Eid card workshop from blank card to finished stack

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

Weekend kids' classes run PKR 4,000 to PKR 9,000 a month, adult and portfolio courses reach PKR 15,000-plus, and a summer camp of twenty children can bring PKR 200,000 in six weeks. The materials bill sits inside all of that.

Who is already doing this well in Pakistan?

Accounts worth studying before you post anything. We are not affiliated with any of them — they are here because the approach is worth copying.

Instagram · the national arts body, based in F-5/1 Islamabad

Pakistan National Council of the Arts

They fill painting, calligraphy and music classes with ordinary announcement posts. A term calendar published in public is a content plan.

Facebook · on Stadium Road, running training classes since 1975

Rawalpindi Arts Council

Exhibition photographs of students' own work bring the next intake. The work on the wall is the advertisement.

Instagram · Pakistan's best-known art school, with a Rawalpindi campus

National College of Arts

Degree-show coverage is the biggest reach of their year. Every art school has a version of a degree show, even a summer camp wall.

Where are art schools concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • F-6

One of the oldest and richest sectors, lived in by senior civil servants, politicians and old Islamabad families. Two very different markets serve it: Super Market in the Markaz for books, banks, tailors and pharmacies, and Kohsar Market in F-6/3, where the city's expensive cafés and bakeries have clustered for years.

  • F-7

F-7 Markaz — everybody calls it Jinnah Super — is the market every person in Islamabad has shopped in at least once. Saeed Book Bank, bridal boutiques, salons, phone shops and a thick ring of restaurants. Behind it the sector is quiet, leafy and costly, full of embassy staff and business families.

  • F-10

A settled upper-middle-class sector on the western side, popular with doctors, serving officers and retired families. F-10 Markaz carries clinics, dental surgeries, labs, bakeries and bank branches rather than nightlife, and the sub-sector strips fill up after school hours with tuition centres and salons. Fatima Jinnah Park is on its doorstep.

  • E-11

E-11 grew out of separate cooperative societies, which is why its streets do not line up like the rest of Islamabad. It is the city's flat belt: young couples, students and bachelors renting apartments, with a mini market in every sub-sector and a crowded Markaz of eateries, hostels and property offices.

Rawalpindi

  • Satellite Town

Satellite Town was Rawalpindi's first planned suburb, laid out in lettered blocks in the 1960s, and it has aged into a doctors' quarter. Consultant clinics, dental surgeries and small labs work out of converted houses around Holy Family Hospital. Patients are local and they choose on reputation, not advertising.

  • Murree Road

Murree Road is the spine that carries Rawalpindi from Marrir Chowk up to Faizabad, with the Metro Bus running above it the whole way. Car showrooms, marriage halls, furniture galleries and coaching centres take the frontage; everything behind them is housing. Being seen from the bus lane is the whole game.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

  • art classes for kids in Islamabad
  • drawing academy near F-10 Islamabad
  • bachon ke liye art class Rawalpindi
  • calligraphy classes Islamabad fees
  • NCA portfolio preparation Islamabad
  • summer art camp Islamabad 2026
  • pottery classes Islamabad

Which services move the numbers for art schools?

Art schools questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for art schools in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most art schools start on Starter at PKR 15,000. Art schools already make the content and simply never post it. Starter turns the phone footage you shoot anyway into eight edited clips a month, captioned and scheduled on the one platform your parents use. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should art schools focus on first?

Instagram. Art is a portfolio, and this is where Islamabad galleries, parents and other artists actually go to look at one. We would run it at 4 reels + one student-work carousel weekly and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a art school business?

blank sheet to finished piece, one technique, properly taught, the same student in january and in june — those three alone fill a month. The timelapse is the format the whole internet already watches. Three hours of charcoal cut to twenty-five seconds, a truck-art panel from the first chalk line, a bowl from lump of clay to glaze.

Do you work with art schools in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of art schools around F-6, F-7, F-10, E-11. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a art school account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
